Our contributor Irene is an Undersecretary/Senior Private Secretary to the First Lady and the Minister of Education and Sports in the Government of Uganda. 

She has worked with the Government of Uganda for 26 years. She joined Government as an Immigration officer with the Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration control where she worked for 14 years prior to her current role. 

She is passionate about empowering leaders and has undertaken several leadership studies including a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Uganda Christian University, Mukono and a Master of Arts in Public Administration and Management from Makerere University.
